We have been learning ¨GOD MADE ALL THINGS¨ and we have gone through the

alphabet this last year. Each Sunday we took one letter and talked and learned about

all the things that God made. We learnt one verse during all those months....

Colossians 1:16-¨For by him were all things created, that are in heaven, and that are in earth, visible and invisible, whether they be thrones, or dominions, or principalities, or powers: all things were created by him, and for him.¨ So thankful for the children that are in the class. The day the picture was taken there were six children missing. Hopefully I can get them ALL together for another picture :0) Thank you for praying for them. A lot of these children come from broken homes or from situations that are so sad! May the Lord work in their hearts FOR HIS GLORY!

Tuesday mornings Lesa has a Bible study with CARINA. We are going through the book of Psalms. Pray for Carina and her family. On Friday afternoons Lesa has a Bible Study with NOEL. We are studying the book of Psalms. Noel is newly saved and it is a joy to work with her. She LOVES the Word of God! Her parents think she has been brain-washed. Please pray for her mom and dad (Elizabeth and Osvaldo) that they would be saved!

Dear Praying Friends,
As you all start enjoying the snow and colder weather ...we on the other hand are having very hot days and we have no SNOW, believe me! As you cook cookies and squares and all those yummy sweets for Christmas ...we are eating fruit salad or salads or anything COOL! But even if we are worlds apart we can still remember the birth of our Savior.

Our school year is ending soon!!!
Sam is graduating on the 16 of December!
Jony is finishing up grade 3 :0) Jony only has a few more days of school.
Our boys are growing up too quick!
Benjamin has a job working the month of December in a Men´s Shoe Store
and Sam has a job working in a Electrical Shop for two or three weeks in December.
Praise the Lord! Now if only Jony can get a job haha.Just kidding!
Pray for Colby and I as we continue with our Bible Studies.

During the week when JAVIER has his day off, Colby goes to JAVIER AND NOEMI´S home to read ¨The Stranger on the Road to Emmaus¨. Javier and Noemi are CELESTE´S parents (the little girl that had the accident- she was pushed down the stairs by a classmate in school).Please continue to pray for the salvation of Noemi and also pray for CELESTE... they put four metal plates in her head and one has moved and has caused some swelling. This week they have to take her to the doctor. Javier, Noemi and their five daughters come to Sunday School!! It is a joy to have the girls in the classes!! Another young man that comes to the house for Bible Studies is SERGIO. He is a young man that started coming to church with his girlfriend and is very interested in the things of the Lord. After the Bible study he goes home and talks to his brother and shares with him all he is learning. Remember him and his family in your prayers.

Juan---the man who lost his son in a motor bike accident and came to see Colby the same Wednesday we were traveling to the states--- he comes to the house every Friday afternoon and has a Bible Study with Colby. He is very faithful in coming to all the meetings. He broke his knee two weeks ago and he still comes to the meetings...limping along with his crutches (he lives 2 blocks down from us) Pray for the salvation of his wife-Maria.

We started the New Year in Canada. We were home on furlough for four months. We seen a lotof snow!!! It was fun (for a time) to shovel and to see everything so white and clean.

We were so happy to get to see family and friends in Florida, South Carolina, Philadelphia, New Brunswick and Maine.

October 2009 Prayer Letter

We work with people..... people who have problems....people who are daily struggling to live for the Lord. They are not famous or rich....just ordinary people who love the Lord. We are thankful to be here working with them ....working togeter till our Lord comes.
*Benjamin and Samuel's Highschool friends are still coming out to youth group. Pray for JONATHAN (he brought his little sister out to Sunday School and she slept through the whole thing!), JUAN PABLO, DAVID, and ALLAN.
*OMAR (the boy in the black shirt -in the picture of Benjamin Birthday) is doing really well. He comes out to ALL the meetings. He brings his brothers out to youth group and Sunday School. Omar wants to be baptized. :0)
*Lesa continues to teach the women once a month. (Picture of the August meeeting) November 12th is the next meeting for them. Pray for their spiritual growth!
*Colby continues to teach in the Bible Institute on Thursday evenings.
*DIEGO continuse to come over on Friday afternoon for his Bible study with Colby. Diego's girlfriend, MELINA, is coming out more. Pray for her...not sure of her salvation.
*Lesa started a Bible Study with the teen girls on Octber 24th. They meet every Saturday at 4pm and Lesa plans to teach them till the end of November. May they learn to be BEAUTIFUL inwardly and use their lives for the Lord's glory.
*One man we asked prayer for in out June Prayer letter, CARLOS ROJAS, has been coming out to all the meetings with his son CARLITOS. His fa,ily sees a BIG change in Carlos.....continue to pray for him and his family.
*One of our families in the church had a new baby boy last month -little MATIAS- and Matais is still in the hospital......born premature.... and now has a virus and needs to be in the hospital till Wednesday. His parents -LEO and SILVINA- are a little discouraged...it has been a long month of going back and forth to the hospital and seeing their little son all hooked up with wires and tubes. Would pray for them?and also that Matias would be soon home with them?
Thank you for your prayer!!! We need your prayers.

Ding-dong goes the door bell .....

"That must be DIEGO" Colby says.
Every Friday afternoon Colby gets together with a young man to study the Word of God.
Diego is a 19 year old boy who has a great love for the Word and loves to ask a lot of questions.
He received the Lord with one of the believers of the church and since than has been to all the meetings and even to Bible Institute to take Colby's class every Thursday night.
Colby has been reading "The Stranger on the Road to Emmaus" with Diego
and we pray that the Lord would work in his life
and that he would continue to have this hunger and thirst for the Word of God.

Dear Praying Friends,

Well a lot has happened since our last letter in May. One of the ladies in the church passed away on June 6th.... Catalina Cañete, 63 years old. She came out to all the Sunday Night meetings with her daughter, Noelia. Colby spoke at the graveside. Noelia and her dad come out on Sunday nights, now. Please pray for the family. Also, the month of June saw us down with colds and flues. (That is why I did not send a letter out in JUNE) Ben was first, than Jony, than Colby and last Lesa. Sam is the only one who is doing fine, so far. All the public schools,the Bible Institute, Ben and Sam's Music schools are closed, starting Monday morning, because of the Swine flu. Pray for us that the Lord would protect us.

And you probably noticed we did not mention Natalie?

Well, she left the 17th of June for Philadelphia. She is with her uncles for a few months helping in the office. Lord will, she is heading up to New Brunswick in August to visit my mom for a few weeks and than heading off in September to New Brunswick Bible Institute to begin her first year of studies! So we miss her A LOT but also know that she is doing HIS will and is in HIS hands....no better place to be! (These pictures above were taken the day she left!!! ) :-(

Lesa had her Ladies meeting today. Only 5 came out. A lot are sick. Our next meeting is the first Thursday in August. Pray that we would GROW and use our gifts for HIS GLORY.

Continue to pray for Benjamin and Samuel's friends that are coming out to Youth Group. Omar has brought his two brothers out and also another boy, Allan, is coming out. Pray for their salvation.(David, Omar, Fabian, Leo, Jony,and Allan)

Colby is going to start a Bible study with a young man, DIEGO. He has been coming out for the last month or so. He claims to know the Lord. He comes out to Prayer Meeting, Sunday night and tonight he went to Colby's last Institute class (because next week everything is closed down for a month!) Pray for his growth. His girlfriend's name is MELINA. She comes out on Sunday night...not sure of her salvation?

Continue to pray for the salvation of ALEJANDRA, NOELIA , and NOELIA and her Dad CARLOS and her little brother CARLITOS . Carlos and Carlitos started coming out to Sunday School last month and enjoy it. We have not started the Bible study with Alejandra...still waiting for her to give us a day.

With all the changes we went through this month we felt the Lord´s had helping us through it all. We do what to thank you all for your prayers.....Prayers moves the Hand that holds the world!! Thanks you for giving, praying and writing.

Bible Study with Florencia

Colby and I have started up a Bible study with a young girl who is beginning to come to the meetings. Florencia is 23 years old and has a lot of problems. One of them is drugs. She is looking for help and we told her the only One who could help her is the Lord. She has been coming out on Sunday evenings and she may start to come out to Youth group on Saturday nights. Pray for her salvation.

Monday afternoon, September 22, at 3PM 12 ladies and myself had a time of singing, a little devotional and fellowship time together. It has been awhile since I wanted to start up the meetings again. I thank the Lord for helping me do it.

The verse I shared was in 1 Timothy 2:2 "...that we may lead a quiet and peaceable life in all godliness and honesty." Pray for us that the Lord would work in us and use us for HIS GLORY.

Preparing Emanuel for the ministry

Remember to pray for Emanuel, we are getting together once a week to prepare him for preaching and also to read the book on prayer by E.M Bounds, "Power through Prayer". He has a great desire to serve the Lord and be in full time ministry, he is also taking four credit hours in our Bible Institute that by reason of work cannot take any more hours. He preached for the first time two weeks ago to the youth and did well, pray that he would walk humbly before God and walk continually before God.

We are so thankful that we could come up and visit my mom for 6 weeks. It was a big surprise when she heard we were coming. Also,two of my brothers live close by so we get to see them also.
We were here to celebrate Canada's Birthday..so we went to a parade and a church picnic which Jony really enjoyed.
Pray for us as we stay our last three weeks. It will be hard to leave mom. Pray for her, Annie, that the Lord would help her as the date gets closer. We leave for Argentina on July 23rd and arrive, Lord willing in Ezeiza on the 24th at 2pm.

I did my regular analisis, blood work which turned out ok, but some of the values of the creatinina and the urea are very high. The Dr said that these never came down since my kidneys failed, and only a true miracle could cause my kidneys to function at 100 %. I continue with my daily dialisis, which I do four times a day, I take vitamins every day and I also give myself injections twice a week. They did a cat scan on my head to see pituitary gland , which according to the Doctors of Nefrologia everything was fine, but I still have to see what the Doctors say of neuroendroquinologia, because they were the ones that sent the order for the cat scan, I will be seeing them on the 26 of May, if possible pray that all will turn out ok Lord willing. The analisis that I was sent to have done by the Doctors of endroquimologia came out ok with the exception of the gland pretiroidea that came out very high. The doctors said that they would probably give me medication to normalize de values; this gland is the one that controls the amounts of calcium and phosphorus en the blood, which if there is to much calcium in the blood the arteries can solidify causing of course problems. All this will be seen after the 26 of May. Also the Doctors of Neufrologia sent me to have another cat scan on another part of my head because they say I might have cists because I have frequent head aches , they said that since my kidneys were full of cists also I could have them in another part of my body like my brain. I have been limited to what I can eat and drink, so that has been hard for me, continue to pray that God would grant me in his will a transplant soon, thank you for all your prayers, Love Ivana

We shared with many of you about the problem Samuel had at his school concerning two of his classmates who threaten Samuel and Florencia. They did not like how Sam and Flo would not take part in their foolishness and one thing lead to another and these boys threatened to kill Flo and Sam. Well, Colby and I and Flo's mom went and talked to the director of the school and explained the situation to him. He wrote everything down and we signed it. The director called in the parent's of the two boys and talked to them and after that the boys did not bother Sam and Flo. We thank the Lord for His protection. Pray for these two boys...Daniel and Brian. They were Samuel best friends since grade 1. May the Lord work in their hearts this year!

Julio, an older man, was very emotional when he was baptized.

He was in jail for years and finally served his sentence and is free.........

and spiritually free.

What a joy to see our two sons go through the water's of baptism.

Please Pray For Ivana

This Ivana and her brother Lemuel.

Ivana is 21 years old and her kidneys are not working.

She does dialysis in her home.

She needs a transplant. Would you all please pray that she would have her transplant soon. Her mom and dad are going to do studies to see if one of them can give their kidney to her. Everything takes TIME down here in Argentina. Keep them in your prayers.

Ivana helps Lesa in her Sunday School class each Sunday.

She has studied in the Bible Institute for the last four years. She is seeking to finish the Bible Institute course soon.

Ivana gets discouraged and does not talk much. She needs our prayers to keep trusting in the Lord in the good and the bad times.

He is in control.

Happy Birthday Benjamin. He turned 15 on October 4th. All his friends came to celebrate the day with him. Lots of cake and food.

Family Camp 2008

We had a great week at family camp.

There were around 100 attending and it was a great time of fellowship and learning.

The youth were always sitting around talking and drinking mate.

Colby lead the music that week.

We enjoyed good week of singing.

There were a good group of youth

helping to play.

Samuel helped playing one of the many guitars. The Argentines love the guitar.

Lesa taught a class all week. She had the kids from ages 3-6. She taught about Noah and the ark. They had a good week of learning, painting, and singing together. Jonathan was the only boy in her class...so he did not like that too much!

Pray for the youth and families that attended lsat week that the Lord would continue to work in their hearts as we desire to see families growing together in the Lord and being the light that the world needs to see.

Each Tuesday afternoon Colby, Marcelo and Sonya would do a Bible study called

"The Stranger on The Road to Emmaus". They finished it last week!! Today Colby will be starting another Bible study with them . They claim to know the Lord but we pray that the fruits of Christ would be seen in them. You can se the MATE on the table....you always need mate to drink!!!

Their son, PATRICIO, is 13 years old. Please pray for his salvation.

On September 15..... at 4:30 am.... our dear brother OSVALDO GARCIA went to be with the Lord. Colby was able to talk to him, read Scripture and encourage him the evening before he died. The wake was all day Saturday till Sunday morning. He was buried at 11:30 am in Ezeiza.

Colby, standing beside the casket, shared on GOD BEING OUR REFUGE. Please pray for the family........ OLGA (his wife) Ruben (his son) and NORMA (his daughter) and many grandchildren and friends ....all without Christ!

We thank the Lord for allowing us to have Osvaldo with us these pass 3 years.

It is always a joy to have people come to our home to drink mate and visit.

This dear couple have been attending the church for the last two years or so.

Osvaldo says he is saved and Olga is Catholic.

They had been coming out every Sunday night ..........................'till lately.

Why are they not coming out anymore?

Osvaldo has cancer and he is not doing very well. He stays in bed, under an electric blanket we loaned him. He has failed a lot and Olga cries a lot. Will you pray for them? We would love to see Olga come to Christ and Osvaldo needs to be sure of his salvation.

We miss them in the meetings and their visits. Osvaldo always had candy or cookies for Jonathan. They even came to see Jonathan when he went to pre- school.

It doesn't look good for Osvaldo BUT our God is able.

Pray for his spiritual health and and Olga's salvation.

Happy Birthday Samuel!

He wanted a chocolate cake and did he get it! Here is the gang...... Benjamin, Samuel, Jonathan and Natalie.

Some of Samuel's friends came over to visit him. Others came in the evening to finish off the cake! For Sam's Birthday we got him a violin. He is studying every Monday and Thursday night so we are looking forward to having him play in church SOON!

Lesa's Bible Study With Karina

Every Saturday afternoon Karina and I get together at my house to study God's Word. We are studying "Won By One" Bible course and it's going very well. Please pray for her...she says she has an open mind and likes to hear all kinds of different ideas. She says she has received Christ as her Savior so I ask the Lord to work in her life. If HE has begun the work HE will finish it. (Philippians 1:6) She loves YOGA and teaches it in her home. Karina comes out to the Sunday services and sometimes her 4 children come with her. Pray for her husband Adrian...he use to come to the meetings and he was baptized in our church BUT he now doesn´t want anything to do with God and church. She would love to see him come with her.Pray for him also. Their 4 children are FEDERICO,PABLO,PRISCILA, and TOMAS.

Sorry for not being around and sharing with you what The Lord is doing here in Ezeiza, we are happy with the change of heart in Marcelo and Sonia, Colby goes on tuesday afternoons and does a bible study with them, they are going through the book, the stranger on the road to Emmaus, it is going well, pray that they will come to and understanding of the Lord and His Word. Sonia has a skin disease that you can pray about, and they have to spend a good amount of his salary on the medicine each month so please be in prayer for them, they are not coming to the meetings but are doing the study and that is a joy to our hearts, thanks for praying!!!

Ersilia Caverzan one of the ladies that mom and dad years ago led to the Lord in the city of Villa Regina, I had the joy of visiting with her and being reminded of Gods Faithfulness over these years, remember her in Prayer, she is 66 years old and lives alone, thanks for remebering her.
Joel Hidalgo, when I went into his bookstore in Regina he did not know who I was and neither did I, but in speaking to him he asked of what denomination we were and I told him, Union de Centros Biblicos, to which he showed me a book that some man gave him 30 years ago and lead him to Christ , he than continued to tell us how that man taught him the Word, then Ricardo who was with me, asked him, Is that man Ronald Holmes to which he replied ...YES!!!! then Ricardo said, well this young man standing here (speaking of me) is His son..Colby..tears flowed from his eyes and we had a great time of fellowship...thank God for fruits that remain to Gods Glory

Well I am sorry it has taken so long to give an update, sometimes not much to say.... sorry !!! We went to Chile for our anual missionary conferance and it was a great time in the Word, we had a good trip going and coming, and Lesa was able to see sights of were I grew up from the age of 7 to the age of 12. Also we were able to rest for a few days when was very good for the family. When we got back to Ezeiza on the 3 of February our son benjamin took a sick spell, so we would asked you to pray for him, we will be running some studies on him to see what is wrong, pray with us for him, thanks so much for your prayers.

Nestor wants to thank you all for helping in the matter of getting his new leg, he is very happy with it , they are very grateful with his wife Carina for permitting this that would hardly be possible with their means. He and his wife Carina and their four children come out on a regular basis to all the meeting and he helps with the leading of the services and also is our best guitar player at church, thanks again for your help in giving and also in praying.

There are some matters of prayer that you should keep in mind for us here in Ezeiza

1) Pray for the youth. Some of them have problems of submission to God and His will. The temptations of the world and the war with their own flesh makes it a difficult thing for many of them. Please keep the youth in prayer.

2) Pray for Marcelo and Sonia and Patricio as they came out to our anual picnic and enjoyed it very much. I was with them a few days ago and Sonia wept as she heard the Gospel again. She is reading her Bible but yet her eyes are blinded to the truth so continue to pray for her. And that they would continue to come out to the meetings.

3) Pray for Adrian and Carina and their 4 children. They are coming on Sunday nights, and Lesa is having a Bible study on Saturdays with Carina, so we can see God working in their hearts.

4) Pray for Osvaldo and Iris. They are not coming out to the meetings but do recieve me fine,once a week, at their home. Continue to pray for them and their salvation.

5) Pray for the salvation of our children and their desire for the things of the Lord, that we would be of help to them in the things of the Lord.

6) Thank the Lord for Joaquin Diaz who had disappeared for almost 2 years has been found and came back to his home this past weekend. Pray that he would come back to the Lord!!!!

Please pray for some new ones that have been coming out to the saturday evening youth meetings, I will give you some names for you to pray for, Barbara, Sabrina, Tamara, and Diana, these four girls are new and we know they are without Christ , pray for them that they might come to Christ, but on another note, pray for the older youth who have been here for a few years that they will continue with the Lord and not depart, KEEP THEM IN YOUR PRAYERS!!!

Pray for Marcelo and Sonia, they have come now for 3 sundays to the evening services, God is working in her soul, please pray as I visit with them also on tuesday afternoons, our visits on tuesday have been very profitable, specially with Sonia who has broken down and asked many question, something she had not done before, so pray with us for the salvation of this house.

We are going out door to door every saturday, we dont see much fruit in this matter but we are happy that we can go with the gospel house to house in the city, continue to pray for fruit in this ministry.

Keep Nestor and Carina in prayer, I did mention that it would cost about 700 dollars to fix his leg, be praying about this and any who would want to help with this matter, just send as a gift to the mission, the address is on the web page.

Also continue to pray for Osvaldo and Iris , our studies have been at the present posponed for different reasons, but I still visit with him once a week, continue to pray that they would come to Christ.

We are having some new ones that are coming out to the meetings on Sunday Night pray with us, I will put pictures on the blog Lord willing in a few days.

The family is well, and continue to pray for our children that they would show more interest in the things of the Lord and that they would be sincere in thier faith.

Our Vacation

We took a few days in July when the kids had their school vacation to go up to Salto Uruguay and be with a Pastor Friend Ricardo Daglio and his family, it was a refreshing time and always a joy to be with them, also enjoyed a time of rest and the hot springs, pray for our children that they might seek and desire the Lord

We had been doing the bible studies but because of school vacations here in Argentina we stopped for about two weeks, but I have been visiting with him and we will began Lord willing tomorrow ; continue to pray for them, she has lost some interest in the things of the Lord but he still has desires for the things of the Lord, pray for them.

Lord willing I will be starting a Bible Study with Juan Carlos Areyana who has been coming to church for about four months but I am not sure he knows the Lord yet, we will began Bible Studies Lord willing on monday nights around 9 pm, He has been separated from his wife for a few months and is hoping things well get better,so pray for his family , he has 3 children ages 23, 21 and 18 , he has a good job, but has need of the Lord, pray that he will truly know the Lord and seek his face in this difficult time.

I had the Bible Study with Osvaldo this morning, we are on lesson 9 on the one on won course and I feel that he still does not understand much, pray for Osvaldo that God would open his understanding, Iris is wife is also hearing very intently while she serves us mate!!!, but I come out sometimes sad because he just does not see much yet, but I forget that God is the enlightener of the soul, pray that God would open his eyes to see the need to come to Christ, thanks.

A Special Need!!!

I would like to greet you all who know the Lord. We have a heavenly Father who not only has done many good works on our behalf but has also prepared good works for us to walk in. In this sense I feel as a debtor to my God. But of one thing I am sure that I cannot pay neither should the thought cross my mind, the sacrifice of Gods Son which was given to me in this So Great Salvation, and has made me an heir with Christ in God.
I would like to share my testimony in a brief way.

When I was but 11 years old, I was working on my own to live in this country that offers so little opportunities for people that come from a social situation of poverty, I work to sustain myself and be able to eat each day.

I would sell news papers on the train and I was good at what I did, I would jump off one train and on to the other without any problems.... that trust in my own strength would changed my life drastically ,the 30 of October of 1976 a train would drag the body of a young boy causing him terrible and severe wounds that would leave the young boy in Intensive Care and in a state of unconsciousness for 45 days. When he awoke from that tragedy nothing was the same, my body had been cruelly tortured, my face was disfigured and my leg was amputated, I did not know myself, I did not have any strength to go on, my body was now incomplete, but this was Gods Plan for my life, and today is how I understand this. God had mercy to take away my physical strength and make me realize I am nothing, and that I needed to depend on him. As I look back it was so little what I had lost and so great what I had gained, 6 years after my accident I heard about Christ and I came to know him as my Savior, I continue to be poor physically but at the same time rich in the Lord, slow physically but will one day have a transformed body, and we all who know Christ have this hope of a new body, a heavenly home!!!

I lack a leg, but now I have Christ, and this is the greatest gain that a man or a woman can desire. God has done me good and this good consist in living and knowing him and keeping his Word!!!

Be praying for Daniel, this young man who is coming to the meetings but yet has not made a profesion of faith, Benjamin our son also has two of his friends from school coming to youth group, but they both dont know Christ.

Pray for out teens that they might have a desire for Glorifying God in there lives and not seeking there own, we would like to see more desire in them for the things of the Lord...

Pray that they might desire to witness to their friends, and also that they might seek the Lord and seek to honor Him and his Word.

Matters of Prayer:

1) I had this morning the Bible Study with Osvaldo and it went very well, we talked about sin and he was listening very intently to the issue, be praying because Iris his wife also listens to the study while she serves us the national drink mate, he is close to coming to Christ, at least in my understanding.

2) Pray for the door to door ministry on Saturdays, we are having some new contacts, pray that God would open the hearts of those that are hearing... pray for a man named Crisanto..his daughter comes to sunday school and I talked to him today , he asked me to come to his house in the week and speak to him though he told me that he is a strong Catholic. So I will be looking to going next week and talking with him.

3) We are starting a home Bible Study this evening after youth group in the home of one of the believes, his name his Gerardo, you may recall him, he comes to my house twice a week to pray and read, he is inviting folks to listen, be praying that this will be a profitable time and that sinners will come to Christ. We will start the Bible study this evening at 9:45 pm kind of late but it is the only time we could find to do it, so pray for us.

Dear Ones, pray for Osvaldo, we are doing the one on one Bible Study with him, but he is yet without understanding, I can't seem to get to his understanding, I know that it is the Grace of God, It is His Mercy that calls sinners to repentance so I would asked for you to pray, we had a good time this afternoon but I feel a little sad that he remains without understanding, but than again the disciples were without understanding also in many occasions of the Lords ministry, thank you for praying, and pray for Lesa as she will be starting with Iris, (Osvaldos wife) the one on one course also.

Saturday Night Youth Meeting

We usually have are youth meeting from 5:30 on saturdays afternoons until 9 pm and what we usually do is have a time of worship and praise from 5:30 till 6 pm and than the time in the Word until 6:45 usually and than it is time for games , fellowship and food!!! They all give a little money and we go and buy something to eat, be praying for more desire in the youth for the things of the Lord, we average number wise about 24 young people, but numbers I know are not important, be praying that they would fear the Lord and seek to serve him in truth.

You will see this site often, many men who are without work will start cooking fried bread and sell it for 35 cents each, on the road side, I bought some today to take over when I went to see Marcelo and Sonia. It is really good when it is nice and hot!!!

Using chess to preach the Gospel!!!

Dear Praying ones, This is Marcelo and Sonia , I go to there house on tuesday for a couple hours and he and I play some chess but often we go through the gospel and he reads his bible on a regular basis, pray for them both, they have need of Christ, he is at a point were he understands his need of Christ but is stalling at believing, of course I dont believe the Lord has truly opened his eyes to see, be praying for his soul and hers and there son Patricio that they might all come to the knowledge of Christ and that God would show him His Mercy.

Thank you for praying and continuining to pray for Marcelo and Sonia, I sometimes become discouraged because he seemed so close to calling upon the Lord but than it seems they fall back, so be earnest in prayer for them, I told them this afternoon that people would see there picture and pray for them. Gerardo Corpos and I get together on Tuesday mornings and Thursday mornings at 7 am to pray and read, Gerardo and His wife have been coming out to the meetings for about 1 year, they were from another Baptist church and went into the charismatic movement, he is growing and asked me if we could pray together, he has a daughter from a previous marriage who is 12 years old and does not know the Lord , also pray for Melina..which would be Margaritas daughter ( Gerardo's present wife) she is 21 and does not know the Lord either, they own two businesses in Ezeiza and do well financially and have a very evangelistic out reach, always seeking to witness to people, remember them and also that together as we pray we might see the Hand of the Lord at work thanks again for helping us together in prayer, the Holmes!!!

On tuesday at 8:30 I am having a bible study with Osvaldo who is not saved...( says he is) but I dont think he has yet called upon the Lord to be saved, we are doing the one on one bible course which I find very good to do with new ones, they are coming to church on Sunday Mornings.

Be praying for the whole family.. Lesa is going to start bible studies with Iris who also is unsaved and wants to start a bible study also.

Dear Praying ones: I wanted to ask you to pray for us as we seek to fill the city with the Gospel each week, we go out on Saturday mornings around 10:30 in the morning and are covering the city with tracks, usually this is the group that is going out to share the Word, be praying with us as you remember every saturday morning that God would open doors of utterance and also that God would Grant us to see some come to the knowledge of Christ.

Back in Argentina

We left Miami at 9 pm on monday the 20th of March and arrived in Argentina on the 21st at 12 noon time in Buenos Aires, some of the believers had come to see us at the airport and it was a joy to be back and see there faces, but now we need to get back to everything and it is not so simple...

Lesa has been unpacking all the stuff and that has been a lot of work for her, also getting the kids back to school has not been easy they have had to catch up on a lot of home work and activities, jonathan was happy to get back to his toys!!!

We have had some warm days here up to now, which has been good after the cold of Canada and Maine.

I do want to thank each of you for your support and help to us over these years, I know that I have failed much in communication but I hope to do much better this term in the will of the Lord.

The believers are doing fine, some have left the work and that has caused sadness in our hearts, but we would asked that you would be praying with us for the next matters...

1) Osvaldo and Iris there salvation and Lesa and I as we have weekly bible studies with them.

2) the kids that they would be a good testimony in school

3) That we would be able to organize the church in the next few months so that it would be honoring to the Lord

4) For our weekly door to door visitation on Saturday morning that this might go well and God would open many doors of utterance to the Gospel

5) That we would be honoring the Lord as a family.

6) For Colby as he needs to do his Argentina document again that was lost just before we went on furlough

7) For wisdom as we seek to buy a vehicle for the family.
